Castagne Day returns to Wollongong on Sunday 3rd May 2026, bringing one of the region’s most loved community festivals back to The Fraternity Club.

This vibrant, family-friendly event celebrates Italian culture, food and tradition, featuring freshly roasted castagne (chestnuts), live entertainment, market stalls, international food and carnival rides for the kids.

A long-standing tradition in the Illawarra community, Castagne Day is a fantastic day out for families, locals and visitors alike. Enjoy the lively festival atmosphere, delicious food, music and entertainment as we celebrate heritage, community and great company.

Entry is free, making it one of the best family events in Wollongong this Autumn.

Getting There

The Fraternity Club is located in Fairy Meadow, just minutes from Wollongong CBD.

Parking

Over 200 free parking spaces are available in the rear car park, with additional street parking nearby.

Public Transport

We encourage visitors to use public transport where possible:

• Fairy Meadow Train Station is a short walk away
• The Wollongong Free Shuttle Bus also stops nearby

If visiting the club on Saturday night, please avoid leaving vehicles overnight in the front car park.
