Wellington Phoenix Partner With Fraternity Club in Wollongong

The Fraternity Club are pleased to announce a new partnership with Wellington Phoenix FC, as the official Australian Hospitality Partner for the 2020/21 A-League season.

Located in Fairy Meadow, The Fraternity Club has established itself as one of the premier clubs in the Illawarra region - offering a range of dining, entertainment to the general public since 1952.

Wellington Phoenix Operation Manager Shaun Gill, says that the Fraternity Club will be a “home away from home” for the players this season, as well as a hub for fans to both watch the matches from and get to know the team better.

“This is a great partnership for us and the services offered by the Fraternity are valuable for our fans and players alike,” says Gill.

“For our fanbase in Wollongong it’s a place they can feel at home at; they can watch our away matches at their venue and can meet face-to-face with players at the post-match function after home games.”

“And for our players it’s a convenient one-stop shop – as athletes, they have specific food requirements which the Fraternity is able to cater for, as well as offering dedicated spaces for our physiotherapist to work and prepare the squad for upcoming matches.”

Fraternity Club President Mick Cuda believes this is a great partnership for the club which has a rich history of being associated with football.

“The FRAT is a big supporter of Football in the Illawarra, commonly known as the home of football, so it is our pleasure to accommodate Wellington as guests of our Club and our region.”

“We are so excited that Wellington chose Wollongong as its base and their team have been professional and fantastic to work with so far. We are looking forward to a great season and quality A-League games in Wollongong.”

“We encourage our members and all the Football lovers on the South Coast to embrace this opportunity and to get behind Wellington and give them a warm Wollongong welcome.”

“It’ll be great to see Wollongong locals back to the club after the game to celebrate with the Wellington team.”
