The Fraternity Club, the first Italian social club in the Wollongong region, formed in 1953 celebrated its renovation opening on Wednesday 4th May 2016 at 6:30pm.
The opening showcased the newly renovated premises and construction works that commenced in 2015. The works commenced to modernise the Club which provides great food, dancing, entertainment and a place where patrons and the wider community come together.
With the use of warm coloured palettes, handsome fixtures and large comfortable furniture, furnishings and carpet. The Management and Board together with a team of architects have created an elegant and rich design that will enhance customer experiences and expectations.
The evening included speeches from Rob Brennan, Dario Borgo, Mick Cuda, Gordon Bradbery and Arturo Arcano - Consulate General of Italy.
The official opening of the renovations included an official ribbon cutting by Lord Mayor Gordon Bradbery and Mick Cuda as well as cake cutting by founding President's son Dario Borgo, current president Mick Cuda and Lord Mayor Gordon Bradbery.
“The Fraternity club has over 60 years of history in these walls and the new renovations have allowed us to upgrade the facilities, while still keeping true to our Italian heritage” says Mick Cuda, Fraternity Club president. “Our goal is to provide a place that is a true cosmopolitan Club, where families will enjoy the facilities for years to come.”
Fraternity Club General Manager Daniel Perkiss says "As a team we are very excited to offer this new facility to the members and community. The Fraternity Club has been on a journey of rediscovery and renewal and this capstone development is the message to the marketplace that we are truly back in business.” Daniel adds "For years now we have been fine tuning our product and service offerings, this facility upgrade will round out the customer experience"
The evening bought together foundation, gold and silver members as well as Fraternity Club management, board and influences.

Dear Taylor Fans,
The Club listened to your feedback following the Taylor Swift show and acknowledge the show was too short. We had contracted a longer performance which we are currently working through with the promoter.
As a gesture of goodwill the club will be issuing a free Katy Perry ticket to everyone who attended the Taylor Swift show at the Clubs expense.
We aim to always exceed your expectations and hope this gesture goes some way to rectifying what we agree was a very short performance today.
Further instructions will be sent to your email and phone contacts in the coming days.
Thanks for your ongoing support, The Fraternity Team

The Order of the Board of Directors was signed off on the 27/10/2015 not 2014 as printed.

What a fantastic night we had with the Wild Wogs on Wednesday 8th July.
The evening was full of laughs!
The comedy spectacular showcased some of Australia’s comedic greats all in one massive show! We enjoyed the laughs as the four wogs from the western suburbs hit the Frat... without their mums!
Head over to our Facebook page and tag yourselves in the pictures!
